Roxy Bot Terms of Service

1. Service description

Roxy is a Discord bot that provides commands and features related to anime and manga discovery and related media lookups. It also auto-embeds AniList links posted in channels where it has access.

2. Eligibility

You must comply with Discord's terms and policies and be allowed to use Discord. If you use Roxy on behalf of a server or organization, you represent you have authority to bind it to these Terms.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Bot to break laws or infringe rights.
• Abuse, disrupt, or attempt to overload the Bot (spam commands, automated scraping, intentionally triggering errors).
• Attempt to reverse engineer, bypass limitations, or interfere with security.
• Use the Bot to harass, threaten, or distribute hateful or illegal content.

We may rate-limit, block, or restrict usage to protect stability and users.

4. Server administration and permissions

Server admins are responsible for:

• Ensuring the Bot's permissions are appropriate.
• Informing members that Roxy is present, reads messages to detect AniList links for auto-embeds, and processes slash command inputs.

5. Third-party services

Roxy displays data retrieved from AniList. We do not control third-party content, availability, or accuracy. Your use of those services through Roxy may also be subject to their terms.

6. Availability and changes

Roxy is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. Features may change, be removed, or be interrupted (maintenance, outages, rate limits, upstream API changes).

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Bot at any time (globally, per user, or per server) if we believe there is abuse, risk, or violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Bot at any time by removing it from your server.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profits arising from your use of the Bot.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Continued use of the Bot after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
